I have another cake delivery box service for you today – there’s always room for some more baked goods in our lives, right? CupKates & Bakes is a newly launched baked delivery service based in Waterlooville, which has been a great success since starting business at the beginning of June. The owner of CupKates & Bakes, Katie, has been baking for 15 years and recently decided to take the plunge and set up her business.
Katie is baking all sorts of sweet treats, regularly adding more flavours and types to her offerings – you can expect brownies, cupcakes, cookies, flapjacks and more! She can also make occasion cakes on request, so CupKates & Bakes is ready to cater to your needs. When Katie offered to deliver a box of her treats for me to try – of course I said yes!
The box was delivered on a Sunday morning, left on our doorstep ensuring contact-free delivery. Inside the treat box I received were four different bakes – all deliciously decadent.
I have to say, it all looked so beautiful that we felt a little bad eating them! Our treats were as follows:
- Chocolate cupcake
- Nutella brownie
- Kinder stuffed cookie
- White choc chip funfetti cookie with a milky bar drizzle
Everything sounds (and looks) mouthwatering, doesn’t it?
The chocolate cupcake was excellent! I’m not normally a huge fan of cupcakes as I don’t normally enjoy too much icing – but, when it comes to chocolate buttercream, I love it! It wasn’t sickly, just chocolatey and indulgent.
Nutella and brownies are a match made in heaven, and this brownie was no exception – rich, crumbly and gooey all at the same time. An excellent brownie!
I love a Kinder bar, so when I saw the kinder stuffed cookie I most definitely got excited. What a dream combination! This cookie was chewy and delicious – I’d happily eat my way through several.
Last but not least – the white choc cookie with all sorts of extras. I wasn’t sure whether I’d like this one as I don’t really like white chocolate – but I loved it! Not sickly sweet at all, this cookie was delicious and I loved the decoration on top.
We enjoyed all of our treats from CupKates & Bakes – so much so that I actually ordered another box last week for us to enjoy! Katie is currently taking orders via her Instagram page here, where you can also find the latest flavours. Her bakes are very well priced, costing around £2.50 – £3.50 per item, plus a delivery fee.
