Coffee, I hear you say? How about another great independent coffee roaster in Hampshire? When it comes to coffee, there’s no such thing as too much choice – at least that’s what I like to think, anyway! On my journey to sample as many locally roasted coffees from Hampshire as I can, I came across The Roasting Party. Based in Winchester, The Roasting Party currently supplies some local businesses alongside their own cafes in London and other London businesses. They’re proving to be rather successful!
The Roasting Party have been roasting coffee at their base in Winchester for around 20 years, starting from modest beginnings like many small batch coffee roasters. The two founders of The Roasting Party, Kirby Sinclair and Wesley Cusick teamed up with a third founder, Ed Cutcliffee – an Aussie who runs the sister company The Little Marionette in Sydney. Kirby & Wesley practised their coffee skills in Sydney and brought their knowledge & experience back to Winchester.

I opted to try their Drake blend, which is one of their signatures – strong, smooth & rich. I ordered the 250g bag for £9, which is about average for a small batch coffee roasters.

I’m a big fan of this coffee! I found it to work well with oat milk either as a hot latte or over ice – both are delicious and Drake provides the perfect caffeine hit.
The Roasting Party offer a range of coffee subscriptions on their online shop, for anyone who fears running out – this is a brilliant idea and something I’m pleased to see from an independent business. There are plenty of blends for you to try, and free shipping is on offer for orders over £10. Now you have no excuse not to try some coffee!

If you’re an at-home coffee enthusiast like me, you’ll love the coffee from The Roasting Party. They have plenty of blends available from their online shop (which you can visit here) and I’d recommend trying a bag of Drake.
Have you tried The Roasting Party before? What did you think?
