Kassia Kitchen: Indian Feast Delivered

Everyone loves a Friday night takeaway – or a takeaway on any night for that matter – and now more than ever we’re feeling the need to treat ourselves. And why not? We’ve ordered a couple of food deliveries in the last few weeks, as a treat to ourselves and as a way of supporting some great local businesses. The other week we ordered an Indian feast from Kassia Kitchen, a local takeaway based in Cowplain.

Kassia Kitchen has a different style to most Indian restaurants I’ve ordered from, with a focus on sharing tapas and authentic curries. Their restaurants are very popular for evenings with drinks and plenty of tapas to share, but our only experience (so far) is of their takeaway.

Like most restaurants these days, Kassia are offering contactless delivery, with an extended radius now covering PO6 – PO9 for a fee of £2.50. This was fantastic news for us, as previously they weren’t delivering to our area!

They have an extensive menu – far larger than most Indian takeaway restaurants – with tapas, roti wraps, traditional dishes and their own kitchen dishes. There’s a huge amount to choose from which is perfect if you’re ordering in for a whole household!

After spending far too long deciding on which dishes to order, we decided to order a naan, pilau rice and aloo bhajee to share between us, alongside a lamb bhuna for Tom and a garlic chilli chicken masala for me.

The food was all incredible – it arrived hot, all tasted very fresh and wasn’t at all greasy like some takeaways can be. My garlic chilli chicken masala in particular was delicious – I’d never tried one before but I will definitely be ordering it again. Each portion was very generous and our curries both had a lot of meat in, so I would say Kassia Kitchen is fantastic value for money.

Overall, we really enjoyed every part of our takeaway and the service was fantastic. The food arrived at the time they stated, it was all hot and delicious and wasn’t overpriced like I feel some takeaways can be. If you live in the Waterlooville area (PO6 – PO9) and fancy an Indian feast delivered to your doorstep, I would definitely recommend ordering from Kassia Kitchen.

You can have a browse of their menu here and order over the phone on 02392 787522 or 02392 787533. They open from 5pm every day and I’d suggest ordering earlier, as it took me about 20 minutes to get through on the phone at 6pm. Minimum order is £15 and delivery fee is £2.50.

If you order in from Kassia Kitchen, I’d love to know what you chose!
