One of our favourite beaches to visit in Cornwall is Trevone. A 5 minute drive from Padstow, Trevone is ideally located for holiday makers and boasts both a sandy beach and a rocky beach.
Parking is usually around £5 for the day, or free if you’re just there for the cafe.
Trevone Beach Cafe quickly became one of our regular haunts while we were in Cornwall, with generous slap up breakfasts, freshly made pizzas and plenty of smoothies and coffee – all with views over the sandy beach.

There’s also a surf shop at the cafe, selling wetsuits, bodyboards and renting surf boards & kayaks if you fancy getting out on the waves.
The owner lives in a flat upstairs, the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. There’s a real family feel, and it’s fantastic to see a small, independent business thriving in the heart of a very popular tourist destination.
Inside the cafe you’ll find coastal decor, local artwork hung on the walls and a few large wooden tables. The perfect spot to hideaway if it’s a blustery, wet day at the beach.
Thankfully the sun welcomed us every day of our Cornish break, so we grabbed a seat outside.
With hot, foamy cappuccinos and a feast for breakfast.

Local bacon, sausages, eggs, mushrooms, tomato, freshly baked bread and hash browns – extra for me, of course.
A proper Cornish fry up done well, and guaranteed to set you up for the day.
We also visited the cafe for lunch one day, which obviously had to involve some sort of pizza (garlic pizza bread, to be precise) – and this rather appealing burger.
Served in a pretzel bun and with a side of fries (already stolen before this photo was taken).
The garlic bread was cheesy and buttery, topped with dried herbs and served with a view. Perfectly good garlic bread, and even better after a chilly dip in the sea.
Trevone Beach Cafe is a great independent spot just 5 mins from the very busy and touristy Padstow – popular with locals and a good small business to support if you get the opportunity!
You’ll find the cafe next to the car park for Trevone beach – you can’t miss it!
