Garlic. Who doesn’t like it? I personally love garlic, so The Garlic Farm on the Isle of Wight was a must-visit. I’ve never seen so many varieties of garlic before (who knew there were so many?), but we really went there for the shop and the restaurant.

Yes, they even put garlic into their beer. Apparently it tastes nice…

After much deliberation, I went for the Crab & Mozzarella Melt. Which was very nice indeed – although not very garlicky!

If you’re ever over on the Isle of Wight, I’d highly recommend a visit to The Garlic Farm – even if you don’t love garlic as much as I do! The restaurant is fantastic and cosy, and on a sunny day there is lots to explore outside. Unfortunately for us it was a very, very wet day!

This is one clove of Elephant Garlic – bigger than my thumb. Absolutely enormous!

Slightly damp, but full of food, we jumped back in the van and headed (through lots of traffic) back to our campsite…

… Where we discovered that our tent was, in fact, not waterproof. Perhaps that was why it was such a bargain! We mopped up the puddles, made dinner and then climbed into the dry, warm van. Lovely!
