Spring has finally arrived – and with it, a huge storm and a lot of snow! The Beast From The East has hit the South coast hard, bringing a lot of chaos with it, and has made me realise just how inconvenient (and scary to drive through!) snow can be, once you have grown up and have embraced adult life.
That being said, as soon as I arrived home from work, I immediately grabbed my camera and ran outside for a walk in the snow. I can’t remember ever seeing snow quite like this before!
So, grab a cuppa, and have a look through my snowy photos taken on the first day of Spring. I used some techniques learnt on the Strong Island Photography Walkshops (which are fantastic FYI), and I’m rather pleased with how they turned out. I use Lightroom for any editing, and it is so user friendly.

I hope everyone had a good snow day – and stayed safe and warm!

Fabulous pics, you certainly captured the beauty of snowy scenes, one doesn’t appreciate how pretty it can be while struggling with difficult journeys……I think I may have been on that wall…..super. Wendy.
Such gorgeous snowy pictures! These have left me feeling so festive 🙂

Those photos are amazing! 😍
I live in South Africa and I’ve seen snow only twice in my life. I can’t imagine driving through it. Stay safe up there and enjoy it.
I really do like your photos, do you post photos often?
Wow so much snow. You captured the snow beautifully 😊
What lovely pictures. Your village looks a very pretty place to live
Thank you! It’s lovely ☺️
Beautiful photos! Made me feel nostalgic for the snow again, even though it made me feel very ill and cold at the time!
Beautiful scenes 💖💖💖
Thank you, I’m glad you liked them! ☺️ I’m glad the snow didn’t last long, but also wishing it had stayed longer as it was so pretty! 🤷♀️ Kat x
Great Photos Kat. I really like the ones with the shallow depth of field (the barbed wire fence and snowdrops in the churchyard).
Why thank you Mr Moody! Glad you like them. We will have to meet soon for a RIB trip!
