Who else is missing eating out at the moment? I know we certainly are! Thankfully for us, a few local businesses have started offering delivery options in this time of need, which is fantastic news. Koop + Kraft, based in Cowplain, have recently started offering delivery of their food and have expanded their takeaway menu items over the last couple of weeks. We’ve been having cravings for fried chicken in our household, so last week we finally caved in and treated ourselves to a rather indulgent takeaway feast from Koop + Kraft.
I’ve been wanting to visit their restaurant in Cowplain for months, but we hadn’t yet found the time to visit for a meal – so, having their food available for delivery has allowed us to finally try it out! Spoiler alert – it was all just so delicious.
Anyone who’s a regular around these parts will already know about my love for fried chicken – I even have a category and a Hampshire Food Guide dedicated to it! So, I consider myself to be somewhat of an expert when it comes to this crispy, golden dish that I love to eat. The fried chicken from Koop + Kraft is up there with some of the best.

We ordered what we felt was a modest amount for a weeknight and it turned out to be the perfect size for the two of us. When ordering on the menu you can order most of the items as either a meal or on their own – plus sides.
Tom opted for a portion of boneless buttermilk chicken thighs as a meal, upgrading to dirty fries. The dirty fries arrived hot and with just the right amount of sauce – not soggy at all and really tasty. The chicken thighs were so delicious. Perfectly crispy and a generous portion – it’s safe to say T was very full after this meal! He also opted for a side of chicken gravy for dipping.

I opted for the buttermilk chicken tenders, ordering the larger 10 piece portion so that we could share. These were really good – again, really crispy and not at all greasy. As my side I chose sweet potato wedges, which surprised me as they were just so tasty! I will absolutely be ordering these again – they were perfectly cooked and full of flavour.
We also ordered a side of garlic bread to share (as if we didn’t already have enough food) and while this tasted good, it wasn’t as good as the rest of the food so we wouldn’t order this next time.

Overall, we were really pleased with the Koop + Kraft delivery service and they left us with an excellent first impression – so good that we’re planning on ordering in from them again very soon! If you’re in their delivery area and fancy treating yourself, I’d recommend the fried chicken, dirty fries and sweet potato wedges – it’s all fantastic.
We’re going to try a burger each the next time we order as I’ve heard good things – as well as some more chicken, of course. Have a browse of their website here and order your delivery online.
If you decide to order in from Koop + Kraft, I’d love to know what you thought of their food!
