On a very rainy Friday, we visited Chichester for a wander and some lunch – my first time visiting Chichester ever!
After getting rather damp, we decided on Wahaca for lunch. I’ve only been to Wahaca once before, but was excited to try it a second time as their street food is amazing!

I must say, the decor inside this particular Wahaca was particularly nice.

The menu. You’re faced with a choice of Street Food or Bigger Food – I chose from the Street Food side (and ordered far too much!) and Dad ordered from the Bigger Food.

All washed down with some juicy waters! I went for the Hibiscus Flower (yum) and Dad chose the Citrus Fizz.

First up – Frijoles & tortilla chips with sobrasada (chorizo). Deeeeelicious.

On to the street food – black bean & cheese quesadillas. Nice, but I probably wouldn’t order these again – they just aren’t as exciting as the other offerings!

Smoked salmon tostadas, with chipotle mayo, white slaw & avocado. Very nice indeed!

Battered cod tacos, with shredded slaw, chipotle mayo & pickled cucumber. Really, really nice and worth trying if you visit.

Next up, some sweet potato – crispy fried chunks, dressed with smoky caramelised mojo de ajo. These were the star of the show for me – incredibly tasty and I could have demolished another!

Dad opted for the chicken tinga burrito, pimped-up with a generous side of warm tortilla chips loaded with molten cheese, salsas and guacamole. Ridiculously big, but the tortillas were so tasty!

Not a bad spread! Unfortunately, neither of us could quite eat everything…

After a somewhat filling lunch, we headed back out into the rain for a stroll round Chichester – hunting out colourful doors and walking round the cathedral grounds.

ahh the food looks so good!
