Everyone loves a good gadget, and I’m always on the lookout for new ones to take away in our campervan with us. Last year we had KitSound Diggit Bluetooth Speakers which came away with us in the campervan and on a sailing holiday – and this year we have the bigger and better KitSound Diggit XL to try!
When we are away camping for the weekend, we love to spend our evenings under a blanket in our SheltaPod, with the fire crackling away, a hot cup of tea and some music playing in the background. Sounds pretty perfect, right?

The new KitSound Diggit XL has all of the useful features that the smaller original speaker has, with a few tweaks – the obvious one being size! It also has a refreshed button design with white detailing, which is a great improvement on the previous model as the buttons were a little hard to see.
My favourite feature on the Kitsound Diggit XL is the removable stake, making it an ideal camping accessory. Space is limited when you’re pitched up on a campsite, so the stake makes it easy to hide the Diggit XL somewhere discreet if you wish – and it stays in place so you don’t need to worry about it falling over.
Another fantastic feature of the Diggit speakers is that they are weatherproof – so dust, rain and mud won’t affect your sound quality or the life of the speaker. The Diggit XL has improved weatherproof resistance, so you can be confident that the speaker can go anywhere with you. We’ve taken our Diggit XL away sailing and on wet weekends camping, and I can confirm that it’s great for many outdoor activities!

The new KitSound Diggit XL boasts a 24 hour play time, and comes with a more powerful speaker than the original – guaranteeing you hours of good quality music. You can also wirelessly connect Diggit speakers together, so we can use our two smaller Diggits paired with the Diggit XL for surround sound while we’re away. Pretty cool, right?
If we aren’t away camping, the Diggit XL spends most of its time situated on my desk. As well as being practical, the speaker is also stylish – I love the bamboo pattern and the tactile feel of the rope covered speaker.
KitSound have taken onboard feedback about the original Diggit speaker and have improved the buttons on the top, with a new white-painted look. The buttons were a little hard to see before, so I’m really happy to see this change. There’s also LED lights on both ends of the speaker, making it perfect for use in the evenings.
I really like the Diggit speakers, and I think that KitSound have produced two fantastic versions of a weatherproof bluetooth speaker. Whether you spend your weekends camping, doing watersports, on the beach or out in the garden, the KitSound Diggit XL (or it’s smaller version) is perfect for any occasion. They’re probably the most practical speakers I’ve ever owned!
