One of my favourite things to do on the weekend is go out for breakfast – the perfect excuse to indulge in far too much coffee and eat something a little different. When I find a good breakfast spot, I absolutely have to shout about it! I recently headed to Josie’s in Bishops Waltham for breakfast with a friend, and I was blown away by just how delicious our breakfast was. Let’s head inside…
On the quiet High Street in sleepy Bishops Waltham, you’ll find Josie’s tucked away, unassuming and inviting on a crisp Spring morning. Inside is a cosy cafe, filled with the smell of freshly ground coffee and the promise of good food. We arrived at 9am and found a table straight away – but by 9.30am the cafe was full and people were queuing out of the door! Make sure you arrive early so you aren’t disappointed.

Josie’s serves up excellent coffee from Monmouth Coffee alongside fluffy pancakes, traditional breakfasts, smoothie bowls and more unusual offerings like breakfast tacos. Holly, my breakfast date, chose Eggs Royale – served up with a generous helping of smoked salmon.
I opted for the Breakfast Taco with fried chicken – because who can resist ordering fried chicken for breakfast? Avocado, salsa, cheddar, a fried egg, chipotle aioli and a huge piece of fried chicken. Unbelievably delicious, and something I would happily eat again and again!
A delicious breakfast, and the perfect spot for breakfast – or brunch – at the weekend. If you do head over, you need to try the breakfast taco! I’d highly recommend visiting for a leisurely morning spent catching up over coffee and food.
Josie’s have spots in Winchester, Petersfield and Bishops Waltham, so if you’re based in Hampshire or visiting for the day – make sure to head over to your nearest one!
