Last weekend I headed to Poole for the day with my good friend Bex (you can find her blog here) – and we simply couldn’t resist a visit to Lush, seeing as we were in the place where the company was founded!
Lush are currently holding a pop-up shop at their headquarters in Poole, right on the Quay, full of exclusive, limited edition swag. The pop-up shop isn’t around for long (in fact, I think tomorrow may be the last day it’s open!) so if you’re local to Poole, make sure to pop along! Get it?
Selling a range of unisex tops and sweatshirts, the collection promotes some of the causes Lush is proud to stand for – such as conservation, animal rights, gender equality and more. There is also a variety of embroidered patches up for grabs, each with a sticky back and perfect for customising a denim jacket.
Lush have also released a Turtle Jelly Bomb, promoting getting rid of plastics and saving marine life. Isn’t it cute! The jelly bombs are made using agar from seaweed, which creates a moisturising jelly layer on the surface of your bath – odd but intriguing! The jelly bomb is available on the Lush website here.
As it happened, the pop-up shop was actually being held at the Lush offices – so we couldn’t resist having a little look around! Their toilets are amazing, and are full of products for staff to use if they need a little pick me up. Doesn’t it make you want to work for Lush immediately?
After spending well over an hour in the pop-up shop, chatting to the staff and having a look around, we came away with a good haul. Let me show you!
Having a Marine Biology background (if you didn’t already know!) I was drawn to these two tops – and as I couldn’t decide between the two, I picked up both! Made from organic cotton, these white tees are a perfect fit, flattering and comfortable, and aren’t see through at all like a lot of white tops can be. A winner for me – and I can’t wait to wear them!
Again, with the patches I couldn’t just pick one – so I got five! I’m planning on jazzing up a denim jacket with these patches, and they are all such fantastic quality.
If you’re near Poole today or tomorrow, definitely try to visit the Lush pop-up shop at Dolphin Quay. If you can’t make it, there is a limited selection of swag on their website here – but it isn’t the same as the bits at the pop-up shop. If you make it along, I’d love to see what you pick up!
