The Body Shop VIP Event, West Quay

I don’t talk about beauty much on here, but The Body Shop is one of my favourite brands. They’re cruelty-free, all their products smell amazing and are great quality. What’s not to love?

I was kindly invited along to a VIP event at the West Quay store with a group of fellow bloggers, for an evening of shopping and pampering. On arrival, we were greeted with a glass of bubbles – I opted for the sparkling elderflower (always a winner!).

The Body Shop have just released a new Himalayan Charcoal Mask and a Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Facial Soap, both of which are products which are raising money for Red Panda Network, saving endangered red pandas in the Himalayas.

They have also expanded their hair care line to include two exciting new products – the Strawberry Shampoo & Conditioner. These are aimed at dull hair, and smell just like strawberry laces.

I can highly recommend their newer range of face masks – I have tried almost all of them, and they are fantastic. You also get quite a lot of uses per tub!

The lovely ladies in-store were offering hand and arm massages using their luxurious spa-inspired range, so I simply had to say yes! I opted for the Brazilian Cupuacu Scrub-in-Oil first, followed by a massage using the Thai Lemongrass Oil and then the Hawaiin Kukui Cream to finish off. My arm smelt heavenly afterwards!

Now onto the products…

The Body Shop very kindly gifted us with a bag full of a selection of their products – samples, a coconut body butter, bath fizzer, scrub, shower gel and one of their newest products, the Oils of Life Intensely Revitalising Cleansing Oil-in Gel. I’m looking forward to testing out the cleanser soon!

Onto my purchases – I stocked up on a few of my favourites (who can resist a discount?) and picked up a few new bits to try out.

I picked up the Strawberry Shampoo & Conditioner – I got far too excited about these, but they just smell so good! I’ve been wanting to try their rose toner for a little while now – I already have a similar one from Fresh that is just so much more expensive, so I’m hoping this one is just as good, if not better.

Their Honey Bronzer is one of my favourite products – I have it in the shade 01, and it is so perfect for pale skin. I think this might be my 4th one!

I stocked up on two of their face masks – the rose mask is my favourite one, so I leapt at the chance to stock up! I also picked up the new Himalayan Charcoal Mask, which promises great things.

The round body brush is fantastic for exfoliating quickly in the shower, so I’m keen to give this a go (along with the new strawberry hair care!).

Both the seaweed mask and camomile cleansing oil are old favourites of mine, and both work amazingly well. I’d highly recommend giving them a go!

The Youth Bouncy Eye Mask looked very interesting – it’s an interesting jelly texture, and feels very cooling on the skin. Another one I’m excited to try!

Once again, a huge thank you to Alice Spake of Southampton Bloggers for organising another great event, and a thank you to The Body Shop Southampton for a lovely evening!
