Final day of Cowes Week 2016

Good Afternoon everyone!

On our last day at Cowes Week las year we were joined by Tom’s family and some of their friends, for a day of boating and exploring.

There was a lot of sails up in the solent on that day – it was glorious weather, and it was the annual Cowes fireworks that evening as well.

After mooring up at East Cowes Marina, we explored East Cowes for a little bit and then headed back to the boat – to find that the Ice Cream boat had joined us! (This boat is very well known in and around Cowes – it is basically the boaty version of an idea cream van, complete with a cheesey ice cream decoration!)

Lunch was at the Lifeboat, the restaurant next to the marina, and was very nice indeed – with lots of good company!

The fireworks were very impressive – and it was a great end to a lovely week!
